A t an earCy age he was converted a n d baptized at AVater Branch Baptist Church where he served fa it hfuCCy as a trustee, member o f the gospeC chorus, deacon union a n d the Branch o f Love Society.
LCe was m arried to the Cate LCCa Maude Gibson. To this union eCeven chiCdren were bom.
