VIRGINAL WAYNE CHARLESTON DOCKERY was born January 7, 1959 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was the third to be born to Eddie Lee Dockery and Bertha Washington (Woodard).
He attended Gough Elementary and Waynesboro High Schools. He was raised by his grandmother, Annie Charleston and grandfather, Roger Charleston in Gough, Georgia.
He was last employed by Shaw Power Group at Plant Vogtle. He had a career in truck driving for more than twenty years.
Virginal was an Armor Bearer to Pastor Kenneth Blount at Spring of Water Family Christian Center.
He was united in holy m atrim ony to Hope Dockery of Augusta, Georgia. "Wayne" and "Dockery," as he was called by his loved ones and friends, was a loving and caring person. He would get along with everyone he met, and was always willing to lend a hand.
Virginal leaves behind to m ourn and cherish his memory: his wife, Hope Dockery; five sons, Virginal Dockery Jr., Calvin Taylor, Jeffrey (Sircondra) Dockery and Todd Dockery, Izak Dockery; three daughters, Brittany Buggs (Christian) Green, Jessica Dockery (Eric) Hallman and Malea Dockery; four sisters, Carolyn (Clyde) McCoy of Rockingham, North Carolina, Vivian (Lancy) Little of Augusta, Georgia, Alice (Larry) Miller and Sylvia Woodard of Hamlet, North Carolina; four brothers, Marvin Dockery of New York, William Lovett, Reverend Kirby (Rita) Woodard of Hamlet, North Carolina and Eugene (Anita) Lovett of Dale City, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; m other and father-in-law, Mattie and Sidney Williams of Waynesboro, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
