A lberta Demmons was born in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia on July 12, 1945, the fifth of eight children to the late Roy and Marie Demmons.
A lberta attended the public schools in Richmond County.
During the late fifties, Alberta was baptized a t Beulah Grove B aptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. B. I. Vernon. Here she participated in many activities. As an adult she enjoyed the Missionary department where she was an active member of the Mission In Action Circle. She served faithfully until her health sta rte d declining. Even then she continued to be concerned about her Church Family.
A lberta was a caring, kind and considerate pereon, who devoted her life to her children and her family. She had a great sense of humor and even in the m idst of her sickness, she was still telling jokes to make her family and friends laugh. The family and friends of Alberta will always remember her and never, ever forget her love fo r each of them. Her pleasing personality, her loving touch and her smile will forever live in each of their hearts.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her children, Constance D. Dority, Augusta, GA; Roderick (Autrey) Demmons, Columbia County, GA; Antonio (Andrena) Demmons, Hephzibah, GA; Patrick Demmons, Augusta, GA; Sonya (Antonio Boyd) Demmons, Augusta, GA; two sisters, Ann (Rubin) Sullivan, Augusta, GA; Eloise (Jesse) Haynes, Augusta, GA; one bother, Rickey James Demmons, Augusta, GA; sixteen grandchildren; aunts, Susie Lowe, Augusta, GA; Cleo Winfrey, Thompson, GA; Lula Mae (Elijah) Robinson, Augusta, GA; one brother-in-law, Henry Daniels, Augusta, GA; god mother, Mrs. Alberta Walton; god Children, Margaret Turner, Augusta, GA; Earnest (Carla) Turner, Augusta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives ans friends.
