Deacons Ministry o f Antioch Baptist Church

on't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid for me. I took His hand when I heard H im call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found peace at the end o f the day. I f my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times o f sorrow. I wish you the sunshine o f tomorrow. M y life's been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps m y time seemed all to brief; don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me, God wanted me NOW, H e has set me free.

The fam ily o f Lavinia Alexis Dawson extends a special thanks to all o f those who helped us during the difficult jou rn ey o f her illness and after her passing. W ithout your concern and assistance w ith her care, our load w ould have b een m ore difficult. We thank you for your cards, time, food, phone calls, visits to the hospitals, prayers and most o f all for your presence here today.
M aybe you prayed for and w ith us; w e felt those prayers in our darkest hours. M aybe you came and sat w ith Lavinia and the fam ily; your presence and words o f com fort w ere healing. M aybe you served us food; you helped us stay strong. Maybe you sent flowers and balloons; their beauty and fragrance lifted our spirit. W hatever you did, w e thank you. M ay God bless each o f you.
