OBITUARY

UR, JOSEPH DAVIS, son of the late Dave and Emma Collier Davis, was born in Richmond Comity, Augusta Georgia on July 7th , 1922 and expired on Friday, toy 3ts 1991 ln New York City at the St. Luke Hospital after a brief illness.
At an early age, he was converted and baptized at the aerusalem Baptist Church, under the leadership of the iate Pastor, The Rev. L, W, Westbrook, where he singed .with the Choir until leaving this area. After leaving the Augusta area he attended the Sharon Baptist Church in Bronx, N. York.
He was married to the Mrs. Emma Davis, to this union no children was born.
He was employed by one of New York Security Agencya for many years, where he retired.
At his passing, he is survived by his devoted wife Mrs. Emma Davis, of New York City; two neices, Mrs, Jimmie Lee Wright, of New York City, Mrs. Betty Henn ings, Augusta, Georgia; a great neice, Mts. Kmmq Henderson, Augusta, Ga; and four nephews, Mr. Jessie Davis, Mr. Alonzo Davis, Mr. Jackie Davis, and Mr. Bobby Lee Davis, all of Augusta, Ga. and a ; .number of cousins and sorrowing friends.
