"W atch in g M e 99
He was there the day I was born. He will be there when they sound the horn.
He was there when I did sin. He will be there until the end. Looked over me when I was sick. Watched my back when I played tricks
Asked him, and Heforgave Shook His head when they put me in the grave.
Took my hand and I did what I was told Shouted out a new world voice
Sent me the way and gave me a choice Lent his hand so I could be free
When no one was there, he stood by me. Asked me to follow in his way
I called his name all through the day When I gave up and said there was no hope He answered back and said, "You can cope "
When they put chains around myfeet He was the one to rock me to sleep He stood infront and made me brave My body was healed and I was saved.
