lleminiscence ~
Lord, make us instruments of your Peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow Love; where there is injury, Pardon; Where there is discord, Unity; where there is doubt, Faith; Where there is despair, Hope; where there is darkness, Light; Where there is sadness, Joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to Consok; To be understood as to Understand; to be loved as to Love: For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are Par doned; IT IS IN DYING THAT WE ARE BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE..." ~ PRAYER OF ST . FRANCIS OF ASSISSI
Ms. NetarsKa D. Cummings, the charming, loving and industrious daughter of Mr. James and Mrs. Madine Cummings, was born on July 24, 1970, in the beautiful "Garden City" of Augusta, Georgia. She was the first born of two beautiful daughters, each of whom became each others very best friend - a relationship which will last throughout Eter nity. Netarsha and Germaine became inseparable as the years unfolded. The girls received parenting principles and ideals which caused them to seek excellence on a daily basis. Netarsha helped to set the pace, for she was never content with mediocrity in the educational, religious and so ciological components of her total growth and personal development. She became Germaines "Guardian Angel," so to speak.
It was from such a strong and consistent family-oriented upbringing that Netarsha accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a very young and tender age. Upon her conversion, she was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost at the historic Thankful Bap tist Church, Blythe, Georgia. As a young adolescent, she enjoyed every aspect of the total Church program and worked with persistence and tremendous devotion in her native Thankful Baptist Church until she chose to matriculate Albany State University, where she earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, in 1994. It is also worthy to mention that her secondary educational acquisition, which she obtained from the A.R. Johnson Health, Science and Engineering High School, did much to equip her with the Academic prerequisites and skills needed for collegiate endeavors and post-secondary scholastic challenges.
At the time of her demise and private voyage to that City Not Made by Hands, Netarsha was gainfully and happily employed with the Georgia Regional Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. Her primary duties there caused her to be responsible for the teaching/instruction of all nursting students at each level of the medicinal hierarchy. Her title was that of Instructor for the Skill Nursing Unit. Ms. Cummings knew both - the science and the art of nursing and applied both with much skill and consistent pro fessionalism.
