OBITUARY
Mr. Edward Crockett, Jr., son of the late Edward Crockett, Sr. and Mae Pearl Hankerson, was born in Waynesboro, Georgia on December 28, 1949. Edward lived most of his life in Boston, MA.
At an early age he was baptized at Mt. Zion C.M.E. church in Waynesboro, Georgia. Edward had one daughter, Deborah Crockett, who preceded him in death.
On Saturday April 8, 2000, in Washington, D.C. God lovingly called his soul to come and live with him.
Those lovingly cherishing his memories are, A loving wife, Martha Mells Crockett; Three daughters, Valeric Crockett, Lakeisha Crockett, and LaTonya Crockett, all of Boston, MA; One brother, Benny Hankerson, Waynesboro, GA; Five sisters, Delores Crockett, Newark, NJ, Clara Evans, Boston, MA, Annie Williams, Cherokee, VA, Ida Mae Crockett, Philadelphia, PA, Alice Crockett, Waynesboro, GA; Three sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Hankerson, Waynesboro, GA, Claudia Williams, and Juanita White, both of Boston, MA; One brother-in-law, Henry Williams; Three aunts, Fannie Profit, Eliza Walker, and Voicey Philpot, all of Augusta, GA; Three uncles, David Profit, Etroy Philpot, and Rev. Walter J. Crockett, all of Augusta, GA; Two grandchildren, Tashyra Crockett, and Tino Crockett-Davelga, both of Boston, MA; A host of nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
My fahter in Heaven above has prepared me For the journey home.
