Walter Alvin Crawford, Jr. was born on March 10, 1932 to the late Walter Crawford, Sr. and the late Mamie Lou Moss. He was a devoted and faithful employee for forty-three (43) years at Burke Medical Center.
At an early age he joined Watkinsville Baptist Church.
Walter was united in holy matrimony to Arnetha Thomas on December 6, 1952. To this union five children were born, one of whom, Ralph Crawford, preceded him in death. He also had one brother, Robert Crawford, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife of fifty-four years, Mrs. Arnetha Thomas Crawford; a step mother, Juanita Crawford of Monroe Township, New Jersey; two sons, Walter D. Crawford III of Waynesboro, Georgia and Dwayne L. Crawford of Augusta, Georgia; two daughters, Shirley A. Crawford of Augusta, Georgia, and Neesie C. (Willie) Cuyler, Sr. of Waynesboro, Georgia; two brothers, John Crawford of Waynesboro, Georgia and John Crawford of Monroe Township, New Jersey; a sister, Mary Crawford, also of Monroe Township, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; uncles, Judson (Ann) Crawford, Wimbley Archer, and Essaw Kelly; aunt, Beatrice Thomas and great-aunt, Rhina Lee Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. ,. , .
