O&ituary
Johnnie Patrick Collier, was born to the late Robert Collier and Mary Holmes Collier on November 2, 1926, in Clarks Hill, South Carolina.
At a very early age, he accepted Christ and joined the Poplar Spring Baptist Church of Clarks Hill, South Carolina.
As a young man he joined the Navy and returned home. He later m oved to Washington, DC, where he met and married Mary Bland Collier. To this union five children w ere born.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three d a u g h te rs , Gwendolyn Jackson, Sheila Collier and Phyllis Collier, all of Glen Arden, Maryland: two s o n s , Gerald Collier and Johnnie Collier, both of Wash ington, DC; six g ra n d c h ild re n : four s is te rs , Bertha Simpkins and Annie Garrett, of North Augusta, South Carolina, Rosa Lee Santucci, of Bermuda and Mary McGee, of Detroit, Michigan; three b ro th ers-in-law , Al, James and Izeal; and a host of n ie ce s, n e p h e w s , c o u sin s and frie nds.
