Obituary
t f l o y d C o ttie r, was born July 30, 1928, in Edgefield
County, South Carolina, the son of the late Robert and Mary Holmes Collier.
A t an early age, he joined the Poplar Spring Baptist Church and attended public school in Edgefield County, South Carolina.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea, where he received a Bronze Star.
He was united in marriage to Hattie Bell M cCain Collier on March 8, 1952. To this union three children were born, with one son, Kelvin preceding him in death.
O n June 22, 1999, the death angel removed the soul o f Floyd Collier.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Hattie B. McCain Collier, Brooklyn, N Y ; one daughter, Linda Collier, Brooklyn, N Y ; one son, Dyral Collier, North Augusta, SC; one brother, Johnny P. Collier, Brooklyn, N Y ; fo u r sisters, Bertha Mims Simpkins, North Augusta, SC; A nnie S. (Isaiah) Garrett, Graniteville, SC; Rosa L. (Al) Santucci, Bermuda and Mary (James) McGee, Detroit, M I; two grandchildren, Danielle and Gail; devoted nieces, M ary (Lester) Broadwater, Gail Broadwater and Joyce Weldon, Atlanta, GA; godson, Eric Hammond, Brooklyn, N Y ; eight sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
