** OBITUARY **
Sister, thou wast mild and lovely, gentle as the summer breeze. Pleasant as the air of evening, when it floats among the trees. These words befit the life and personality of Mrs. Cat herine Redfield Coleman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Redfield who was born on November 11, 1878. She departed this life at a local infirmary on February 2, 1981 at the age of 102.
She lived in Augusta all of her life attending the public schools and Haines Institute. She was baptized in the Savannah River by the Rev. Fred Wallace and became a very active and faithful member of Thankful Baptist Church until her health failed.
She was married to the late Mr. Luther Coleman. This union was blessed with three children - all preceeded her in death.
She leaves to cherish fond memories two grandchildren, Mr. Luther Coleman, III, U. S. Air Force, and Ms. Brenda Coleman, New York City; one devoted niece, Mrs. Rosa W. Screen, Augusta, Georgia; one nephew, Willis Wright, New York City; great nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Peaceful be thy silent slumber, Peaceful in the grave so low; Thou no more wilt join our number; Thou no more our sons shalt know.
Yet again we hope to meet thee, When the day of life is fled; Then in heavn with joy to greet thee, Where no farewell tear is shed.
