Later in life, she was converted and baptized at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. She was united in Holy Wedlock to the late Mr. Julian Clark, Sr. in 1927.
She leaves to mourn one daughter, Mrs. Essie Mae Simon; two sons, Mr. Julian Clark, Jr., and Mr. Frank Clark; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Lee Harris and Ms. Carrie Bell Evans; one brother, Mr. Luther Brooks; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Clark; one son-in-law, Mr. Daniel Simon; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Georgia Brooks; one brother-inlaw, Mr. George Harris; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Lord is my light and salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart.

Dear God,

;

It seems like once more old death has taken the one we love,

But we smile, because we know she is above,

God, sometimes when our loved one leaves we just cant understand,

Thats why we pause today, and ask you jor your hand,

Be with us in this time of sorrow, give us strength for tomorrow,

Please God, be our guide - most of all, stick by our side.

Amen
