OBITUARY
Mrs. Martha J. Chandler, departed-this life Sunday, June 6, 1976, at 2:00 A.M,

^han^ ler was born in Edgefield, South
Carolina some years ago and was baptized
there at an early age at the Geter Baptist Church.
During her young adult life she was
united in marriage to the late Mr. Elbert Chandler, to this union three children were born: Jimmy, Phyllis and Lila.
After moving to Augusta, she joined the St. Paul Baptist Church and the Royal Lodge
No. 1A. There she remained a member until her death.
Survivals: One son Mr, Jimmy Chandler of Augusta; 2 grand sons Mr. James Hogan and Mr. Jimmy Chandler, Jr,; 4 grand daughters - Mrs.
Philis Newsome, Miss Pearl Chandler, Mrs. Ruth
Robinson of Augusta, and Mrs. Leola Wiggins of
Philadelphia, Pa.; 15 great grand children,
12 great great grand children; Grand and Great
grand sons-in-law; Grand and great grand
daughters-in-law, neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Why do we mourn departed friends Or shake at death's alarm 'Tis but the voice that Jesus sends, To call them to his arms.
Lord, help us so to live That, when death waiting stands, In child-like faith and trust we'll give Our souls into His hands.
