Obituary
Ms. Bertha Mae Carter entered into rest on Satur day, December 2, 2000. She was born to the late Horace andRoselyn Carter on October 23,1922, in Burke County, Ga.
A t an early age, shejoined Gardner Grove Baptist Church and was afaithful member. Bertha Carter was a retired cook employee o f Gracewood State School and Hos pital where she put in many years o f loyal service.
Ms. Carter hadfour children toprecede her in death. They were, Ray Carter, Willie Carter, A n n Carter, and Brenda Carter Cummings. She leaves herprecious memory to he cherished: Four sons, Minister Eugene (Lula Bell) Carter o f Burke County, Ga., Victor (Vernetta) Carter, Marion (Annette) Carter, all o f Augusta, Ga., George Carter o f Savannah, Ga., a devoted granddaughter, Beverly Carter Tate, a devoted aunt and uncle, Daisy (James) Barnwell, two nieces, Jeanette Evans and Lizzie Walker, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchil dren, two dear friends, Dorothy Stone and Mary Mayes and a host o f other relatives and friends.
