Mrs Ivy Marie Bush was born February 4, 1923 in Bamwell County, South Carolina to the late Idell Bates Tussey

At an early age she moved to High Point, North Carolina. There she united with the Mount Vemon Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary and very active in church activities. She graduated from William Perm High School as Valedictorian in 1941 and her class was the last class to graduate before 12th Grade completion became mandatory.
After moving to Augusta, Georgia she worked as a LPN at the University Hospital and retired from Lenwood Division Veterans Administration Hospital, Augusta, Georgia

She united with Tabernacle Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr C. S.

She was a active member of DAVA unit #18 of Augusta, Georgia.

In 1994, due to illness, she moved to Columbus, Georgia and united with New Providence Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Albert McCorvey, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband Otis Bush, Sr.

She is survived by two sons Charles Bates of Greensboro, North Carolina and William Carry Conley of Augusta, Georgia; one daughter Mavis Conley/Brooks (Rev. lee E. Brooks, Sr.), nine grandchildren which includes a devoted grandson William Marcell Conley and six great-grand children and a hosts of family and friends
