Mrs. Matilda Bullard, 70, of 1310 Wallace Street, died Thursday, February 13, 1992 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. She was born in Thomson, Georgia on December 3, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Mary Ella) Morgan.
She entered into Holy Matrimony to the late John W . Bullard, Sr.
In 1945, she moved to Augusta, Georgia. A former member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Thomson, Georgia, she later joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served on the Usherette Board for over forty years before she became ill.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Mrs. Mable Hudson, Miami, Fla.; three sons, John W . Bullard, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., William (Richard) Bullard, Augusta, Ga. and Henry T. Bullard, Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary LaFavor, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Myrtis Curry and Mrs. Roxie Boyd, Thomson, Ga. and Mrs. Pinkie Jones, Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers, James Morgan and Ephriam (E.V.) Morgan, Thomson, Ga., Johnny Frank Morgan, Leesburg, Fla. and Prince Morgan, Syracuse, N .Y.; one daughter-in-law, Gyn Bullard, Tallahassee, Fla.; one son-in-law, Virgil A. Hudson, Jr., Miami, Fla.; one granddaughter, Carla Springer, New York; one grandson, Jason Hudson, Miami, Fla.; two aunts, Willie Mae Coleman, Thomson, Ga. and Roberta Coleman, New York; a devoted cousin, Dorothy Merriweather, Augusta, Ga.; eight sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Morgan, Louise Morgan, Velma Morgan, and Mary Ann Morgan all of Thomson, Ga., Susie Hill, New York, Mattie Bullard, Savannah, Ga., Carrie McQuiller, Chicago, 111 and Annie Holley, Glenrock, N.J.; one brother-in-law, Daniel LaFavor, Augusta, Ga.; a host of other relatives and friends.
