The rising of our Masters sun in Ralph Thomas Browns life began in Augusta, Georgia on January 18, 1957. He was the youngest son of Grady and Fannie Wilson Brown. His sunset was on October 7, 2011 as he transitioned from this earthly life to eternity. During his youth, Ralph attended Antioch Baptist Church and participated in its youth programs including Sunday school.
Ralph was an inquisitive child who worked hard in school and worked well with others. Ralph received the highest marks throughout his academic career, as he attended Charles T. Walker Elementary, A.R. Johnson Junior High School, and the historic Lucy C. Laney High School in the Richmond County School System. An outstanding athlete, Ralph was an offensive tackle and defensive^nd at A. R. Johnson and Lucy C. Laney. During his tenure at Lucy C. Laney, Ralph was inducted into the "W hos Who of American High School Students" in recognition of his good grades and outstanding sportsmanship. After high school, Ralph attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he majored in Business.
A faithful friend and quality workman described the attributes of Ralph Thomas Brown- an Independent Contractor and Deacon. He worked for many individuals in the Augusta area by making improvements to their homes and property. Many of his clients/customers and friends held their relationships with Ralph with high regard, and respected him for his craftsmanship and skills. The quality of his work was demanded in New York and throughout the state of Georgia and South Carolina. He assisted with construction repair projects at the Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Airport and constructed sidewalks throughout the City of Atlanta.
He was a devoted father who loved his children and his grandchildren His passion for scholarship, life and humanity was revealed in the tutoring of his children. He believed in supporting mankind by participating in many community activities as well as participation in evangelistic activities with his church. He loved his neighbors and fellow m ankind as well as friends and all others who came in contact with him. His trademark was an affectionate "Smile" and a genuine concern and love for all of his acquaintances, family members, friends, and neighbors.
Ralph was baptized by Pastor Kenneth B. Martin at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. A servant of mankind, he became an Ordained Deacon on January 23, 2011 following the footsteps of his brother George, ^11 of his Uncles of the Wilson family and Friends. Ralph served his church faithfully in the Male Chorus, the Deacon's ministry, the MAC (Men of Antioch Church) ministry, and anywhere where there was a need for him as a Christian. O ur Lord and Savior embraced his most coveted role of Christian Stewardship by being a "good and faithful servant." He was really a Christian soldier in the Lord's Army on this earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Agnes Joyce Brown Morris and LaVerne I. Brown White. Survivors include three daughters; Samara Carzell, Ralphesia Dunbar, Raven Dunbar, one son; Dejuan Dugger, six grandchildren; Cameron Haynes, Jordan Haynes, Sarai Haynes, Nazir Holton, Makayla Holton and Javari Reid, four brothers; Grady S. Dad, our sadness knows no end; We can't believe you're gone;
We're grieving for you every day; It's hard to carry on.
You were always there to support and care, W hen we needed a true friend,
How we'll ever do without our dad, We cannot comprehend.
You were our teacher and our guide, Our dad, so good and strong;
Your example will sustain us now, And last our whole lives long.

Expressing what we feel for you, Help;* us feel you're near.
Our memories of the times we had Help the pain go away.
But Dad, our lives won't be the same; We'll miss you every day A part of us went with you;
You left a gap too big to fill; You're our Father and our Hero;
