A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our hearts, that never can be filled. ~ From the Family

I am home in Heaven, dearTmes; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed: I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Did you wonder I so calmly trod the valley of the shade? Oh! But Jesus' love illumined ever dark and fearful glade. And He came himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread: and with Jesus' arm to lean on, could I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth's shadows, pray to trust our Father's will. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand. Do it now, while life remaineth you shall rest in Jesus' land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home: Oh, the rapture o f that meeting; Oh, the joy to see you come!
Our sincerest thanks and appreciation is extended to all who shared their love, prayers, calls, visits and all other acts o f kindness during the loss of our loved one. May God continue to richly bless each o f you.

O fte/ia (jSamtce&y (S & gwh/ was born February 3, 1919 to Watson and Victoria Samuels of Lincoln County, Georgia. Sister Brown was raised by her father and her brother, Hayes, after the passing of her mother during her early childhood. She was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lincoln County.
As a young woman, Sister Brown, along with her family, moved to Augusta, Georgia. She later met and married a handsome young man, Herman Brown, who was just beginning his military service in the Navy. Upon completing his service, the couple moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where they resided for thirty-two years. While in Philadelphia, the couple was blessed with a loving son, Ray Bernard, and were active members of the Thankful Baptist Church.
In 1975, Mrs. Brown and her family relocated to Augusta. After many years of service, she retired from the Augusta Country Club and the Augusta Civic Center.
Sister Brown joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was a dedicated member of her Sunday School Class. She dearly enjoyed class and looked forward to attending each Sunday.
Sister Brown was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Ray Bernard Nesbitt (Sandra), Augusta, GA; three grandsons, Christopher Nesbitt, Kendrick Nesbitt (Autumn) and Derrick Davis, all of Augusta, GA; seven great grandchildren; a niece, Barbara Samuels Cambridge, Dallas, TX; a nephew, Billie Samuels (Jamie), Augusta, GA; a devoted companion and caregiver, Debra Samuels, Augusta, GA; and a host of wonderful great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

"All of You"
"Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, But remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I 've only gone to rest a while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief, My going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me, Not as I am now, but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all And look on with a smile, Understand in your hearts,
I 've only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each ofyou, I can live my life in the hearts of all ofyou. "
