Mr. Willie Randy Brooks, 63 of 114 Williams Street, Ridge Spring, South Carolina departed this earthly life Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.
Randy was bom October 8. 1946 in Saluda County, South Carolina to the late Norris Brooks, Sr. and the late Catherine Smith Brooks. He received his education from the Ridge Hill Public Schools. He also attended Denmark Technical School for two years.
Randy served his country by enlisting in the United States Army from 1967-1970. He fought in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Award.
On September 24, 1988, he entered into Holy Wedlock to Annie Mae Bussey.
Randy with his quiet spirit, loved flowers and enjoyed outdoor activities such as mowing grass. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Melvenia Bussey and a sister. Delores Butler.
Randy was loved and will be missed by his loved ones. To cherish his memories are: a loving wife, Annie Mae Brooks ot the home; a daughter, Sheila Padgett; three sons, Andre Brooks, Wvman Camard; Darian Smith, eleven grand children; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Jones. Gwen Jay; two brothers, Norris Brooks, Jr., Larry Brooks, Sr.; father-in-law, Grover Bussey; one aunt, Thelma Gary; one uncle Hardin Brooks; thirteen sisters-in-law, Marilyn Brooks, Pat Brooks, Gloria Davis, Gail Bussey, Jackie Bussey, Rosa Brunson. Vivian Alexander, Geraldine Williams, Wyomie Bussey, Mary Smith, Glenn Shell, Stephanie Blacks; lour brothers-in-1 aw, Johnny Jones, Nathaniel Jay, Willie J. Brunson. Eugene Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
