** OBITUARY * *
Mrs. Annie Willie Broadwater, passed on Sunday evening, July 17, 1988 at approximately 3:56 p.m. at the University Hospital. She was born in Edgefield County, South Carolina on July 12,1932. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Alex G. Merriweather and Mrs. Willie Mae Merriweather.
She received her early education in the public school of Edgefield, South Carolina.
At an early age she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a loyal and trustworthy member, who was highly appreciated. Later she moved her letter to the Poplar Spring Baptist Church and served faithfully until she left for New York. She attended Union Baptist Church in New York and returned to Augusta after a number of years and joined Bethany Baptist Church in Clarkshill, South Carolina.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Mr. Reuben Broadwater, Augusta, Ga.; one son, Mr. Evans Epps, Augusta, Ga.; mother, Mrs. Willie Mae Merriweather, Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Lillie M. Wade, Augusta, Ga.; three brothers, Henry Merriweather of Edgefield, S.C., Alex Merriweather of North Augusta, S.C. and George N. Merriweather of Augusta, Ga.; four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, seven grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
