** OBITUARY **
Lirnmie Briscoe, the son o f the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Briscoe, was born O ctober 15,1921 in Clarks Hill, South Carolina. He departed this life O ctober 9, 1988, at the Medical College of Georgia.
At an early age he joined the Laurel Grove Baptist Church in Clarks Hill, South Carolina.
For thirty-three years he was employed by the Corps of Engineer in Clarks Hill, South Carolina.
He leaves to m ourn his death his wife, Mrs. Ellen Mae Briscoe; three daughters, Miss Gwendolyn Briscoe, Miss W illie Mae Briscoe, and Miss Diane Gilyard o f Augusta, Georgia; four sons, M r. Robert Gilyard, Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Mr. Orin Gilyard, Mr. Ejester Gilyard, and Mr. Stevie Gilyard o f Augusta, Georgia; six sisters, Mrs. Eva Lou Griffin, Clarks Hill, South Carolina, Mrs. Thomasina Hartfield, Martinez, Georgia, Mrs. Viola Hammond, N orth Augusta, South Carolina, Miss Jennie Briscoe and Mrs. Alzarene Collins of Augusta, Georgia, and Mrs. Rosetta McCain, Jamaica, New York; two brothers, Deacon Sam Briscoe and Mr. Leroy Briscoe, Clarks Hill, South Carolina; two aunts, one uncle, seventeen grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, eight brothers-in-law, two daughters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
