** OBITUARY **
Lifes shadows lengthen, death appears And Im at times beset by fears, Until by faith Christs had I see
Outstretched in love to welcome me.
On Thursday morning, February 16, 1989, Prentiss entered into eternal life when she grasped the outstretched hand of Christ welcoming her to a land free from sickness, sorrows, and the pains and unpleasantness of this life.
She entered life on March 29,1963 as the baby child of the Brannon Family. She was named Prentiss Shanell but was always known as our own "Little Princess."
She attended Ursula Collins and Telfair Street Elementary Schools, and Lucy C. Laney High School, graduating in the Class of 1981. She also attended Paine College, Augusta, Ga. and Clark College Atlanta, Ga., where she majored in Child Psycology.
When she was ten years old, whe was converted, baptized, and fellowshipped at Thankful Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. N. T. Young, Sr. She was active in the Sunday School, having served as secretary. In 1979, she was crowned "Miss Thankful."
Prentiss was always described as a sweet, pleasant, quiet, and loving child. She shared these character traits with everyone with whom she came in contact. There are the memories that will life on in the lives of those she loved and those who loVed her most.
She was employed by the Univeristy Hospital as a secretary.
Those who shared the days of her life were: a daughter, Ayandra Chanell Rothwell; mother, Mrs. Marguerite R.
