WILLIAM M. BRADDY m
William (Billy) M. Braddy HI, died Monday afternoon in the Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Born in Sumter County, Mr. Braddy. was the son of William M. Braddy, Jr. and Edna Green Braddy.
Mr. Braddy received his elementary and high school education from St. Judes Catholic School. He attended N.C. A&T University and received his B.A. Degree from Morris College, and he did work towards his Masters Degree at the Citadel. He served in the U.S. Army, was a 32rd degree Mason of Skyway Temply #461 Scottish Rites; a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; the NAACP; The Shriners; and Alliance Political Club.
He was employed by Project T-Square (1969); he operated Braddys Driving School for 2 years and was Executive Director for the S.C. Commission of Farm Workers Educational Talent Search Program (1969-77). He was a recipient of the following awards and certificates: Success Motivation Institute Certificate and a Certificate of Bond for Construction Firms; S.C. Farm Workers Distinguished Service Award; DSSSP State Meeting Dedicated Service Award (Morris College). He was a Notary Public for the State of S.C.; a Residential Home Builders Commissioner for the State of S.C. He held a Business and Professional License, and Building Permit License from the cities of Charleston and Sumter.
Mr. Braddy is survived by his parents; his wife, Olease McCray Braddy; one son, Craig Maurice, and one daughter, Carmen Jeneen all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Reese of Columbia; one brother, Thompson E. Braddy of Columbia; one grandmother, uncles, aunts, grand-aunts, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, five sisters-in-law, five brothersin-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The faith community of St. Judes will join with the relatives and many friends of the late William M. Braddy HI in celebrating his Funeral Mass of Requiem Friday, March 30th.
The con-celebrants will be the Revs. William G. Atkinson, O.M.I., John Curran, O.M.I., John Leddy, O.M.I., Anthony Rigoli, O.M.I., and Robert Swenker, O.M.I.
