Obituary
Carrie Laney Boozer was born August 4, 1912 the second daughter of the late Fred E. Boozer and Isabell Lites Boozer.
Carrie Laney Boozer was converted and baptized at Thankful Baptist Church in 1925.
She left North Augusta in 1943 and lived in Brooklyn, New York where she joined Bethany Baptist Church and served faithfully as treasurer of the Georgia Club. She also served on the Building Committee.
Carrie Laney Boozer received several certificates from Bethany Baptist Church for her dedicated service through the years.
She traveled to the Holy Land in 1972. She returned to North Augusta in 1976 and restored full fellowship at Thankful Baptist Church. She worked with the Outreach Mission, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Prayer Ban.
Plaques presented to Ms. Boozer by Thankful Baptist Church were: Teacher of Home Dept. Bible Class Efficient and Dedicated Service, 1977-78; Teacher of the Year, 1985-86; Thankful Baptist Sunday School, August 24, 1986; Appreciation of Dedicated Service to Thankful Baptist Church.
On Monday, December 28, 1992 at the University Hospital, Ms. Boozer departed this life.
Survivors are one sister, Willie Mae Smith, Atlanta, Ga.; nieces, Deborah Cook, Nikole Morris, Brooklyn, N.Y., Sharon Cook, North Augusta, S.C.; adopted daugthers, Sally McCartney and Gail Vaughn, North Augusta, S.C.; dear friend, Alberta Stephens, North Augusta, S.C.; one aunt, Florence Cureton, Baltimore, Md.; and a host of cousins and friends.
