** OBITUARY **

Mr. Fred Boozer, the only son of the late Deacon Fred and Sister Isabella Lites Boozer, was born in Aiken County, South Carolina on July 22, 1916. He departed this life in Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday, December 10, 1985.

He was educated at Haines Normal and Industrial Institute in Augusta, Georgia, having attended both Elementary and High School.
He was converted and baptized into the membership of Thankful Baptist Church, under the pastorage of the Rev. A. G. Davis, in May, 1927.

During his young adult life, Fred moved to Brooklyn, New York

where he lived and worked as a private He made many friends among the

chauffeur for many, many years. celebrities during his years of

working in New York.

Upon retirement, he returned to his native South Carolina but continued to make frequent visits to New York with relatives and friends.

Cherishing fond memories are two sisters, Miss C. Laney Boozer of North Augusta, S.C. and Mrs. Willie Mae Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; one niece, Mrs. Isabella W. Cook of Columbus, Georgia; two grandnieces, Ms. Deborah Cook and Ms. Sharon Cook of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one great-grandniece, Nicole Morris of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one aunt, Mrs. Florence Cureton of Baltimore, Md.; one step-aunt, Mrs. Rose Watson of Freeport Long Island, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Mr. Richard Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; devoted family friends, Mrs. Alberta Stephens, Mrs. Bertha L. Bell, Mrs. Sallie L. McCartney and Mrs. Gussie B. Conner; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
