Obituary
To everything there is a season, anda time to everypurpose under the heaven:
A Time To Be Bom: Kenneth Lamar Blackwell, Sr., was bom October 31, 1961 to Elizabeth Freeman Blackwell and the late Hosea Blackwell in Augusta, Georgia. At an early age Kenneth confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized at Cummings Grove Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Kenneth was educated in the Richmond County Public School System, he furthered his studies at Augusta Area Technical School, and was employed with Youngblood Construction Company.
A Time To Die: It was the will of the almighty God to call Kenneth from his earthly home to his eternal home on April 15, 2004 at University Hospital, where he was greeted by his father (Hosea) and brother (Hosea La Vert).
A Time To Plant: Kenneth was the proud and devoted father to three children, Kenneth Blackwell, Jr., Kimberly Blackwell and La Cher Daggett all of Augusta, Georgia.
A Time To Love: Kenneth, (Kent as he was affectionately called by family and friends), was a people loving person, always happy and laughing and would give his last to make someone else happy.
A Time To Embrace: Kenneth leaves to embrace cherished memories: three children, Kenneth, Jr., Kimberly and La Cher all of Augusta; his mother, Elizabeth Blackwell of Augusta, Georgia; three sisters, Cynthia Banks, Gary, North Carolina, Gail and Michelle Blackwell, of Augusta, Georgia; Brother-in-law, Carl Banks, Cary, North Carolina; one niece, Kendra Alien; one nephew, De-Marcus Patterson, both of Augusta, Georgia; Best Friend and "adopted brother" Ricky Eberhart and Cousin/ Best Friend, Anthony Rouse of Augusta, Georgia; Aunts, Elizabeth Elam (Moss) of Lincolnton, Georgia, Alma Leverett (Harold, Sr.), Virda Elam (Willie, Jr.) and Christine Gibson all of Augusta, Georgia, Betty Hartfield, of Martinez, Georgia, Doris Blackwell of Lincolnton, Georgia, and Mary Catherine Hairston (Graylin), of Charlotte, North Carolina; Uncles, Elijah Blackwell of Martinez, Georgia and Bobby Blackwell
(Sarah) of Augusta, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
