OBITUARY
of MRS. BEULAH KATE McCORD GUNBY BLACKBURN
God blessed our loved one, Mrs. Beulah K. Blackburn, to dwell with, and love her family and friends for many long, happy and faithful years. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward McCord on March 15, 1904, in Lincolnton, Georgia. She was the eighth of ten children. Mrs. Blackburn departed from this glorious life on July 25, 1083.
Mrs. Blackburns long life was one of dedicated service to her church, large family, and friends. At an early age, she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Lincoln County, under the pastorate of the late Reverend G. W. Harrison. While living in Lincolnton with her parents, she finished the Walker Baptist Institute of Augusta, Georgia and taught school in Lincoln County for many years.
During her young adulthood, she united in holy matri mony with the late Robert Gunby and later moved to At lanta, Ga. where they joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend William O. Jack son. After the late Robert Gunbys death, she later married Mr. Andrew J. Blackburn of Atlanta, Ga. and they lived happily until his death.
Since joining Bethlehem, Mrs. Blackburn has remained an active, faithful and loyal member of her church. She was a member of the Trustee Board of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, sang in the Jackson Inspirational Choir and parti cipated in other auxiliaries. Mrs. Beulah Kate Blackburn loved Bethlehem Church and all of her pastors dearly and served dutifully and faithfully until her health declined in recent months.
Mrs. Beulah Blackburn leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Mrs. Nina C. Ramsey of Atlanta; one brother, Mr. Floyd McCord, Sr. of Elberton, Ga., and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

"WHEN IVE DONE MY BEST"

When I've done the best I can,

If my friends don't understand Then my Lord will carry me home.

After I have done my best, I will find a peaceful rest, ; When my Savior carries me home.

When I've done the best I can, and I'm near the promised

land, Then my Lord will carry me home.

When my best I've tried to live, my mistakes He will

forgive, When my Savior carries me home.

When .my day is over and the evening shadows fall, Faith will cross me over, when I hear my master sweetly

call, In my friends the best I see, may they see the best in me. When my Savior carries me home.
