OBITUARY
MRS. EVVIE LOUISE BETTY, the daughter of Clarence and Eula Mae Hudson Davenport, was born January 2, 1915 in Athens, Georgia.
At an early age, she with her family, moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed her education in the Indianapolis Public School system.
Early in life she professed a hope in Christ and she was baptized. She joined the Witherspoon United Presbyterian Church and she served faithfully throughout the years as a member of the Sages and the Womens Group until ill health prevented her participation.
LOUISE was employed as a Laboratory Technician at Indiana University and Veterans Administration medical centers and Methodist Hospital. After forty years of service in the Indianapolis area, she retired in 1977. She was a member of the Pathologists Certified Laboratory Technicians Association.
Well-liked and respected by her many friends and peers, she enj oyed being in the company of her family and traveling. She was a member of many civic and social clubs, including the Ameners Club and I Gals, which annually granted International Girls Aid League scholarships. She was a former member of the NAACP.
MRS. EVVIE LOUISE BETTY departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 4, 1994 at the age of seventy-nine years, nine months and two days.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Patsy Lorraine Cannedy; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives; her beloved Witherspoon Church family and a multitude of friends.
So sweet and sound She never frowned Always helpful in our needs She will be missed Her soul will rest, Because shes always been blessed And her memories shall live on forever
