Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Ford Benning, was born in Grovetown, Georgia in Columbia County, September 1, 1917 to the parentage o f the late Abner and Carrie Johnson Ford.
She made her transition from labor to reward on Wednesday morning, February 2, 201 f a t her residence.
Mrs. Benning gave her life to the Lord at an early age and joined Christian Band at the Water Branch Baptist Church under the leadership o f Rev. R. W. Walker. She attended prayer meeting and Sunday school, worked with the Junior Usher Board and sang in the Senior Choir, served as Mother o f the Church, sing with the Senior Choir, worked with Jr Usher Board and the Sen ior Mission. She was married to the late Euland Benning for 70 years.
With her deep and abiding faith in God, she realized that she was truly blessed. She prayed to God that this world would ex perience a life o f love, peace, long-suffering, and faith as she prayed to God to help her walk close to Him.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Eloise and Rev. Dr. Robert Leverett o f Decatur, GA; two grandsons, Darrell Garnett and Derek Garnett o f Augusta, a host o f cousins and other relatives and friends.
