Mrs. `EverCean `Tanftstey (Benefieldwas bom to the late Thomas
Tanksley, Sr. and Julia Gordon Tanksley on January 27, 1925 in Waynesboro, Georgia.
Mrs. (Benefieldentered into rest on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at
the age o f 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Henry Benefield; one brother Thomas Tanksley, Jr. and three sisters, Maggie Lou Lawson, Alberta Colson and Beatrice Culbreath.
She extended many years o f service at Beulah Grove Baptist Church as a Senior Usherette.
She leaves to cherish her memories one devoted daughter and son-inlaw, Glynn Dora (Allen) Lambert; one son, Albert Lawson, Jr., Augusta, GA; one sister-in-law, Bessie Tanksley, Augusta, GA; six grand children, Allison Lambert, Aldrena (Theotis) Harris, Alicia (Henry) Lakes, Sr., Alfred Lawson, Angela Lawson, and Anthony Lawson; seven great grandchildren, Aldreauna Young, Ty'Sheka Lambert, Allen Thompson, Aldreausha Young, Henry Lakes, Jr., Frank Lakes, Virgil Lakes; one great great grandson, Kyle Gillon and a host o f nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
