** OBITUARY **
Mrs. Flaura M. Cave Bell, the daughter of the late John Henry and Lillian Gantt Cave, departed this Godly life at her home on July 29, 1989. She was born on February 10, 1906 in Barnwell County, South Carolina.
At an early age she joined the Union Branch Baptist Church located in Dunbarton, South Carolina and now in Williston, South Carolina. She served as Mother of the Church for thirty-one (31) years and was a faithful member until her death. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #284, Barnwell, South Carolina and of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
"Mrs. Flaura," as she was lovingly called, was a friend to all, both young and old. She exemplified strength, perserverance, good will and love for God and her fellowman.
She was married on December 8, 1927 to Willie Bell, Sr. To this union nine children children were born. One son preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing and emulate her life, her husband, Willie, Sr.; five sons, Willie J. Jr., Aiken, S.C., Eugene R. and Escoe E., Boston, MA, Roscoe D., Queens Village, N.Y. and Bell, Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Josie B. Stallings, Queens Village, N. Y., Sarah B. Glover and Ann B. Robinson, Augusta, Ga.; one brother, John Wesley Cave, Brooklyn, N. Y.; two sisters, Sarah C. Williamson, West New York, N.J. and Janie C. Barker, Augusta, Ga.; twenty-three grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Fred Stallings, Queens Village, N.Y. and Barney Glover, Augusta, Ga.; four daughters-in-law, Aliphare H. Bell, Aiken, S.C., Vermeil J. and Lonzenar J. Bell, Boston, MA and Connie M..Bell, Atlanta, Ga.; six brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law; a dear and devoted friend, Essie M. Dunbar, Williston, S.C.; a great number of dear nephews and nieces and other friends.
