JONATHAN (JOHNNY) LLEWELLYN BEARD, was born in Augusta, Georgia to the late Dock Beard and Margaret Tillman Beard.
In 1977, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was committed to his relationship with Christ from that time until his home going.
He received his formal education at Immaculate Conception Academy, and was a graduate of Aquinas High School in 1977. He furthered his education at Mercer University, Augusta State University, and gradu ated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was employed for many years as a flight test engineer and as an U.S. Air Force Con sultant at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Johnny was an avid race car enthusiast and collector of antique and sports cars. He also found time within his busy schedule to mentor and volunteer his services, talents, and finances to his community. He had a tremendous passion for music; he joyfully lifted his voice in the various choirs at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include: mother, Margaret T. Beard; brother, Michael R. Beard; nieces and nephew, Valerie C. Beard, Marcus C. Beard and Allison M. Beard. Johnny also leaves behind a host of loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Preceding Johnny's passing were his beloved brothers, Joseph Rolando Beard and Dock LaRonce Beard.
