On Friday afternoon, May 27, 1994, Mr. Mittedge Alvin (Larry) Beard entered into rest at the University Hospital.
He was born February 5, 1933 in Augusta, Georgia. At an early age, he joined Simonia Baptist Church in Grovetown, Georgia.
He is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Hattie Alien Beard; five children, Mr. Gregory Dickerson, Ms. Beverly Beard, Ms. Valeric Beard, and Ms. Sonya Beard, all of Augusta, Georgia and Mr. Terence Beard of Fort Meyers, Florida; mother, Ms. Ethel Beard of Columbus, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Frances Keller, Augusta, Georgia and Ms. Mary L. Davis, Columbus, Georgia; two brothers, Mr. Julian Beard, Evans, Georgia and Mr. Johnny Beard, Augusta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Acquantina Beard, Marquette Maryland, LuQuan Hartfield, Candance Beard, Courtney Beard, and Nicholaus Bowers, all of Augusta, Georgia; aunt, Mrs. Alma Beard, Augusta, Georgia; mother-in-law, Mrs. Maggie L. Alien, Augusta, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Emma Beard and Mrs. Mattie A. Williams, Augusta, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Henry Keller and Mr. Hosea Alien, Jr., Augusta, Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
