Tabernacle Baptist Church Sunday, May 22, 1983 3:00 P.M.
Reverend W.B. Tomlin, Officiating The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be anymore pain." Rev. 21:4
Deacon Cisero Beard departed this life on May 15, 1983 at 6:00 p.m. at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Georgia. He was born in Col umbia County December 12, 1897 to the late Mr. Jerry Beard and Mrs. Evelyn Cummings Beard.
At an early age he joined the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he served faithfully until he moved to Lincoln County, Ga. After moving to Lincoln County, Ga. he united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later became a deacon at an early age. He served diligently and faithfully until ill-health made it impossible for him to serve.
He leaves to cherish his memories and follow in his footsteps a devoted wife, Mrs. Mamie Joe Dunn Beard of Lincolnton, Ga.; two daughters, Miss Sallie Blanche Beard of Lincolnton, Ga., Miss Susie Mae Beard of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Mr. Roy Beard and Mr. J.B. Beard, of Lin colnton, Ga., Mr. Norman Beard of Boxton, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Essie Fouch of Atlanta, Ga.; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
/ can not say, I will not say That he is dead. He is just away. With a cherry smile and a wave of the hand, He has wandered into an unknown land, And left us dreaming how very fair, If needs be, since he lingers there, And you oh, you, who the wildest yearn For an old-time step, and the glad return, Think of his fairing on as deer In the love of there as the love of here. Think of him still as the same, I say, He is not dead, he is just away.
