When tomorrow starts without me, A n d I 'm not there to see. I f the sun should rise a n d fin d your eyes, A llfille d with tears fo r me; I wish so ?nuch you w ouldn't cry the way you d id today, while thinking o f the many things, we didn l get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, a n d each time that you think o f me, I know you 'll miss me too; but when tomorrow starts w ithout me, please try to understand, that an angel came a n d called my ?iame, a n d took me by the hand, a n d sa id my place was ready, in heavenfa r above, and that I 'd have to leave behind a ll those I dearly love; but as I turned to walk away, a tearfe llfrom my eye,fo r a ll my life, I 'd always thought, I d id n 't w ant to die. I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do, it alm ost seemed impossible that I was leaving you. I thought o f a ll the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought o f a ll the love we shared, a n d a ll the fu n we had. I f I could relive yesterday, ju s t even fo r a while, I 'd say good-bye a n d kiss you, a?id maybe seeyou smile; but then I fu lly realized, that this could never be, fo r emptiness a n d memories, w ould take the place o f me.
A n d when I thought o f worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought o fyou, a n d when I did, my heart wasfilled with sorrow. B u t when I walked through heaven's gates, I fe lt so much a t home. When God looked down and sm iled a t me, fi'om H is great golden throne, he said, "This is eternity, and a ll I 've prom isedyou. Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today w ill always last, a n d since each d a y's the same way there's no longingfo r thepast. You have been so faithful, so trusting a n d so true. Though there were times you d id some things you knew you shouldn 't do. B u t you have been forgiven a n d now a t last you 're free. So w on't you come and take my hand a n d share my life with me?" So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we'refa r apart, fo r every time you think o f me, I 'm right here, in your heart.
