God sent his angels to summon his faithful servant on Tuesday, April 29, 2003. God said to Reverend Body, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant, well done." The saints are rejoicing today as another ; child of Christ enters the kingdom.

Reverend Henry Benjamin Bady was bom in Ellenwood,

Georgia on April 8, 1918. He attended the public schools and

Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also awarded

. diplomas from the American Theological Seminary and the Carver

Bible College, also in Atlanta. He was united in holy matrimony to

Martha Shropshire on September 9, 1940 and this union was blessed

with eight children.

.

Reverend Bady began his Christian journey at a very early age at the Reed Street Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia under the leadership of Reverend C. N. Ellis. He served Camming Grove Baptist Church continuously; first, as a substitute minister under Reverend J. D. Williams and as senior pastor for over fifty years. Reverend Bady officially became the pastor of Gumming Grove Baptist on October 17, 1947. During these years, he organized over twenty organizations/ministries. Five ministers were licensed and ordained along with a number of deacons who were trained and credentialed. In addition, he served as pastor of Bethany Baptist Church for over forty-five years and served as pastor of Carpenterville for over twenty-five years,,

Reverend H. B. Bady was known lets the "walking minister" early in his life because he walked to reach the people that he served. A goal which Reverend and Mrs. Bady accomplished by the hand of God, was to send all eight children to college^

One of his favorite hymns was "Come and Go To That Land." He was

a man to whom singing was a source that sustained him. He loved the

people of God and the people he served.

In closing, a memorable statement from his youngest grandson was

that "grand dad died in the same month that Jesus died and was

resurrected. We know that he is with Jesus."
