OBITUARY
CARL `'Cal" ANDREWS
Carl "Cal" Andrews, son of the late Walter and Sally Weaver Andrews was born October 15, 1921 in Saluda, South Carolina. On Saturdaj/, August 19, 1995, he entered into a finality of rest at St. Lukes Hospital in Manhattan, New York. He resided at 50 Morningside Ave., apt. 7, Manhattan, New York.
At an early age, he joined the Mine Creek Baptist Church where he served until he moved to Manhattan, New York. Cal recieved his education in Saluda County Public Schools. He enlisted into the U. S. Army in 1941, serving for two years and was a veteran of World War 11. He was a retired Taxi Cab Driver from Manhattan, New York.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one granddaughter who took care of him while he was ill, Miss Tasheem Renee Stevens oF Manhattan, NY; one daughter, Mrs. Hollis Andrews Stevens, Brooklyn, NY; one son, Mr. Herman Smallwood, Passaic, NY; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Mae Medlock, Ridge Spring, SC, Mrs. Florine Dukes, Graniteville, SC and Mrs. Oueen Cothran, Johnston, SC; one brother, Mr. Walter Andrews, Sr., Ward, SC; two aunts, Ms. Ellen Copied, Walterboro, Cl and Ms. Bennie Gray, Saluda, SC; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews; one brother-in-law, Mr. Paris Cothran; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
