God saw the road getting rough and the hills getting harder to climb. He gently visited the Ta/madge Memorial Hospital Monday, May 7, 1984, closed the eyes of Bro. Leroy Anderson and whispered "Peace Be Thine. "
He was born in Lincoln County, Georgia, December 18, 1953, the son of the late Thelma Wellmaker Anderson and Roy Anderson. He joined Zoar Church at an early age.
Bro. Anderson was united in holy wedlock to Mary Agnes Cullars. To this union one son was born. Bro. Anderson was a devoted husband and loving father.
Survivors include, a devoted wife, Mary Agnes Anderson of the home; one son, Elijah Anderson also of the home; his father, Roy Anderson of Washington, Ga.; his father-in-law, Robert Cullars Sr.; his mother-inlaw, Agnes Cullars; one brother, Benjamin Anderson; three sisters, Corlene Cullars, Nellie Anderson and Robbin Anderson; three brothers-inlaw; two sisters-in-law, all of Washington, Georgia; six aunts, four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
It's never easy when one must go And one must stay -- behind;
It's never easy, 1 know, I know -- It tears both heart and mind.
WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU
When I must leave you for a little while -- Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile:
And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same. Feed not loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer, And I in turn will comfort you, and hold you near; And never, never, be afraid to die, For 1 am waiting for you in the sky.
