The Obituary
MRS. WILLIE MAE GLOVER ALVAREZ, daughter of the late Willie and Mary Jane Cook Glover died on August 17,1991. She was bom April 26, 1904 in Orangeburg County.
Mrs. Alvarez's education was received at Sterling School in Orangeburg County.
She was a faithful member of Olive Grove Baptist Church where she worked hard and served as a Nurse until her health failed. Her church officers and members loved her and they never forgot her. Constantly throughout each year they remembered her in many ways.
Mrs. Alvarez belonged to a very close family unit. To know Aunt Mae was to love her. She had a special way with all family members. She served them, supervised them, showed seniority; but in her own special way she loved each one of us.
Survivors include a Sister-In-Law: Gertmde Glover; a Brother-In-Law: Mordecai Williams, Jr.; Nieces and Nephews: Thelma Glover, Eugene and Mary Williams, Talmedge and Ruby Glover, Calvert and Evelyn Hemingway, Fred and Mary Whiting, Theodore H. WHEN I MUST LEA VE YOU
When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name Live on and do ail things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!
