OBITUARY
Mrs, Mary Garrett McKie was the daughter of the late Mr, Sam Garrett and Mrs, Mattie Lee Garretto She was born in Edgefield County S.C, and, shortly after her birth, her mother departed this life Then she was adopted by Mrs, Janie Basket and the late Mr. John Basket, Sr, At an early age she was converted and baptised at Spring Grove Baptist Church by the late Rev. A= W,, Vincent. She was a faithful member until her death,
She was united in marriage to the late Calvin Butler McKie, To this union one child was born, Mrs, Mildred McKie Martin, later sne was married to the late Louis Abraham, Sr,, to this union no children were born.
Today we pause to pay our last respects to our beloved sister, Mrs. Mary McKie Abraham who departed this life on May 29, 1973, at the Aiken County Hospital in Aiken, S,C,
Survivors Include her mother, Mrs. Janie Basket of North Augusta, S,C,,; one daughter, Mrs, Mildred McKie Martin; four sisters, Mrs, Carrie J, Key of Homestead, Fla-, Mrs, Mattie Aaron of Augusta, Ga,, Miss Mattie Basket of Augusta, Ga, and Miss Sally Basket of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Mr. John Basket, Jr, of Los Angeles, Cal-; one uncle, Rev, Lewis Price of Martinez, Ga,; one son-in-law, Dea, Charlie Martin, Sr,; four granddaughters, Mrs - Mattie Muldrow of Aiken, S.C, , Edna L Martin Yvonne Martin and Lisa R, Martin, all of Clearwater, SC,; five grandsons, Calvin B: Martin, Charlie Martin, Jr,, Frank Martin, Robert Martin and Soioman Martin, ail of Clearwater, S.C,; two granddaughters-in-law, Mrs Cla retha Martin and Mrs, Sally Martin, both ot Clearwater, SC,; one grandson-in-law, Mr- Frank Muldrow, Jr., Aiken S,C-; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mrs, Marie Johnson of North Augusta, SC,, Mrs, Louise Sullivan of Washington, D,C. and Mrs, Pearl Whitfield of Rochester, N.Y-; six. stepsons; two stepdaughters; nieces nephews and a host of other relatives and friends,
