- Business contract between Ben Stein, owner and manager of the Douglass Theatre, and the musical performance group Melba, Daniels, and Mitchell, dated September 10, 1927, concerning scheduled performances at the Douglass Theatre. According to the contract, Melba, Daniels, and Mitchell, a company of six performers, agree to produce for two weeks at the Douglass Theatre stock shows such as vaudeville, musical comedy, and dramas. They further agree to play the usual members of the show daily, and Stein promises to pay Melba, Daniels, and Mitchell one hundred fifty dollars per week. The performances are to commence September 12, 1927.

[typewritten text: This agreement made 10th. day of Sept. [September] 1927 between] [written text: Ben Stein] [typewritten text: propritor [proprietor] or mgr. [manager] of Douglass Theatre, City of Macon, Ga. [Georgia], (State), party of the first, and Melba- Daniels and Mitchell, party of the second party [part]. Witness that the party of the second part agrees to produce stock shows, such as Vaudeville- musical comedy and dramas known as Melba-Daniels and Mitchell (6 people) six, and play for (2 weeks) two commencing Monday Sept. 12th- 1927, and play usual members of show each day.
