Letter from F. E. Dickie, secretary of the Phoenix Gold Mining Company, to Wier Boyd, dated April 26, 1892. Dickie sends money to Boyd and his son M. G. Boyd for services rendered in the lawsuit of Exter v. Etowah Gold Mining Company and requests receipts. He asks whether a new trial has been granted or if the case has been referred to the Supreme Court instead.

Boyd, being payment on account for professional services in re [concerning] suit F. C. Exter vs. [versus], the Etowah Company. I also inclose [enclose] blank receipt which please sign and have Mr.B [Boyd (?)] - sign also, and return to me so I can place the same among my vouchers.

I have not yet heard from you as to whether a new trial has been granted, or whether the case was carried to the Supreme Court.
