- Description:
- Materials in this folder includes an August 4, 1915 letter from Leo Frank to Leopold Haas, an Atlanta friend of Leo Frank's, in which Frank discusses his recovery from an attack against him at the State Farm Prison in Milledgeville on July 17, 1915, by William Creen, a fellow convict who slashed Frank’s throat with a knife. Frank sent another letter shortly afterward, on August 5, in which he acknowledges a gift from Haas, and reports the improvement in his condition after seeing outside doctors. A letter of August 6, 1915 from Frank to Haas describes a visit from Leo Frank's wife, Lucille, and his improving health.
