- A black and white photograph of the exterior of the Oglethorpe School at Atlanta University; however, this is referred to as North hall in the original title. The Oglethorpe School was built in 1904 and trained new teachers, focusing specifically on Kindergarten teachers. This building was associated with the Normal School at Atlanta University. Atlanta University opened on October 13, 1869. The University offered training for African American students of all ages including kindergarten, grade school, normal, industrial, academy and college.
