CoIIqqg is a new time, a new beginning. This year we would like to welcome the class of
20I0. our new faculty and staff, the many renovations, and of course our new President.
President Elizabeth Kiss comes to Agnes Scott from Duke University where she was Director of
the Kennan Institute for Ethics. A 1982 graduate of Davidson College, she went on to receive
her Ph.D. from Oxford University. From there President Kiss taught at Princeton University.
Randolph-Macon College and Deep Springs College. Her arrival on campus in late August was
highly anticipated and met with much enthusiasm only to be rivaled by the excitment brought by
the arrival of the class of 20I0. President Kiss is excited to see the renovations and changes on
campus and has a few of her own plans. Passionate about community service, she hopes to
make it part of the classroom experience at Agnes Scott. President Kiss also wants Agnes
Scott to be more visible in the community and hopes to make some long standing connections
within Decatur. She looks forward to working closely with faculty and staff and getting to know
students, and she is very excited to be part of the red class of 20I0.

Pang Pang we know you hate us
Juet because we are the greatest
^0 Okay 7 is here
3ond C\r\e are bade, we aint going nowhere
We see you wanna stand on your feet
Aint no shame, it's a hot beat
We're so original we cant be out done
A thousand years as the only ones
We'll shout it from the tops we're the cat's meow
From ' 7 with love, you can hate us now
2 5 is a different year
Vixens and Goddeeeee we smell your fear
Under the pressure you thought we would crack.
Put 007 pet keeps coming back
We'll live and let die, it's just a lesson learned
We already ea\d it, the world is not enough
diamonds are forever, pressure's on we get tough
Pang Pang you got to stop now
Double '0 7 is getting hot now
Pang Pang we know you hate us

I caimot- hziizvz & is aJr^zaucly 2007! Wow, whai* a, ^rzai" 4 years Ive haxl at* Agnes aiui working on the
Silhouette st-af f . Who ever t-hought* I would be the Editor, especially after my aitempt to quit the staff
our first-year and not having worked on a yearbook tmtil coming to Agnes. I want to thank several
people-those who have given me support on the Silhouette and those who have supported me
personally. First, to my OD-Assistant Editors Pauline, Nicole, and Kim, thank you for all of the work
you've put into the book. I know the book would not be complete without your help. Shannon and
Sarah, your design expertise and moral support throughout the creation of this lovely book was
endless. I know without you all staying up until the wee hours of the morning (when you could hear
the "good morning birds" singing) I would have given up on the book. Thank you, thank you, thank
you both for working on the senior section with me over winter break even though SK may have
wanted to kill me just a teeny bit! You are wonderful' You know that I love you both eternally aj\d
will miss our cra5iness and excellent adventures next year. Pauline, Sarah and Shannon I will miss
our yearbook parties' What am I going to do without you all? I feel as though between the five of
you, I am leaving the book in good hands! To the staff, you all are wonderful Thank you for all of
your hard work this year, the proof of which is of course our fabulous book! To Betty, thank you also
for ycajr support and willingness to meet with me about any problem that occurred with the book.
Thank you for keeping me sane when the book became stressful All of your help is greatly
appreciated and I will miss you to o next year!
J
5ara. HaJ, as much ajs I complained about it*, HTanfe you for dra^in^ me to that* first* yearbook
meeim^ our first year. Obviously, I would not* be where I am today had I rvot continued going to the
meetings! And thank, you for being a great friend! To my favorite first-years, I am so glad I met
pa this year! You aJl have surely changed my life in a positive way just as practically everyone I have
encountered at Agnes has. Kolbi Johnson, thank you so much for sending out endless amounts of e-
mails to all of the seniors and for not getting too mad when they replied to you and not me! And of
xjurse thank you for being a wonderful friend...and part of the 3 most feared of 007. Lauren Twining,
[ appreciate you more than you can imagine! You always told me I could do it and of course made me
get some sleep when I felt like 1 hac^ to work on the book!" You are one of my best friends and I will
miss you so much next year! Steph Lahue, I'm so glad we finally met this year! Going to NYC with
pa to see Kristin...and Natalie and Chryssie and Barbara and Kristin again, was one of the best trips
af my life! You are a wonderful friend and I don't know what I'm going to do without you A special
thanks to my parents who never let me give up on anything and have always supported me in my
endeavors. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you a billion times over! To my SAI sisters past
ind present, you all are awesome and I know the chapter is going to be fabulous next year! I will
srobably visit you frequently and you know I am happy to be an advisor. Thank you for all of the f ijn
times weve had over the past couple of years. To the rest of my friends, thank you for being my
Priends, end of story! You are awesome and I know life will be different without you there everyday to
pnake me laugh, cry and smile. Thanks for laughing at my sarcasm too; I know its the most
endearing part of my personality and of course my so called infectious laughter! Thank you for
xitting up with my cra^y stress and of course for listening to my endless chatter about Eroadwayf I
vifih you all the best of luck next year and want you to know that I am always there to support you
[ind be a shoulder to lean on'

"It takes a lot of courage to
release the familiar and
seemingly secure, to embrace
the new. But there is no real
security in what is no longer
meaningful. There is more
security in the adventurous
and exciting, for in movement
there is life, and in change
there is power."
-Alan Cohen
