- Carte-de-visite photograph of Thomas J. Flint. Flint had begun his military career with the albany Guards from Dougherty County, a unit that became Co. E, 4th Georgia Infantry. He had spent the first year of the war in Virginia, but had resigned at the reorganization in the spring of 1862. Returning home, he joined the 2nd Georgia Cavalry.
