- Carte-de-visite photograph of James Sullivan. Sullivan was elected 1st lieutenant in April 1862, succeeded to the office of captain of Company F, 4th Georgia, in May 1863. He served "with distinction" until wounded and captured at Cedar Creek, Virginia, during the Valley Campaign, on October 19, 1864. Admitted to the U.S. Depot Field Hospital at Winchester, he died December 11, 1864.
