Mrs. W ardine Little Yarbough took her journey home, departing this life on May 19, 2008. She was hom February 28, 1953 in Talbot County Georgia. She attended Central High School in Talbotton, Georgia and college at Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama. Upon returning from Alabama, W ardine decided to settle in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wardine worked for Carson's Furniture Company until securing a position with the State of Georgia where she remained a faithful and hard working employee for over 28 years.

W ardine was the proud parent of Nakia Smith and Kamaria Woodard. In 1999 she became the exceptionally proud grandmother of Christopher Smith. On April 9, 2003, W ardine entered into holy matrimony with Mr. Adam Yarbough Jr., gaining a soul mate for life.

In 1984, Wardine joined the Assembly of Truth Ministries as one of the founding members

under the leadership of Bishop Michael Canion and Dr. Tanda Canion. While a member of

,

AOT, Wardine served as President of the Usher Board, member of the Hospitality

Committee, member of HGAAA Women's Conference Committee, 48 Plus Auxiliary, and the

Mother's Board. Whether she was an official member or simply a participant, she would

always lend a helping hand if there was a need to be met.

Wardine's life was a legacy of humor, compassion and dedication. She stood on GOD'S Promise!! She lived by a saying that spoke volumes of her character: ''If I can help somebody as I travel along, if I can cheer someone with a word or a song, if I can show one soul where he's going wrong, then MY living shall not be in vain!!!" She was known to he a stickler for doing things right and in order. She was a staunch advocate for family values and building strong family ties. She not only opened her heart, hut her home as well to many in need. W ardine was mother, aunt, sister, friend, caretaker, nurse, prayer partner, counselor, and even the ''Police Lady" to those she knew and loved. Yet, during her period of illness, Wardine found the time and strength to continue to do volunteer work. She faithfully served as a parent volunteer at Charles R. Drew Charter School where both Kamaria and
Christopher attend. She willingly served Caring for Others, an outreach service for the needy, at least twice a week until her health prevented her from doing so.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Adam Y arhough Jr., who affectionately refers to her as "Queen", daughters Nakia (Allen) and Kamaria; grandson, Christopher; brothers, Eddie, Johnny, Lewis, Tommy and Calvin; sisters, Leatrice, Arquincy, Jeredine, and Sandra as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

I saw you smile, I felt befriended. It was a beautiful smile, it never ended. I shared it with many friends that day, they passed it along, in the very same way. It will come back to you, on some thoughtful face, when you need it most, at the right time and place. A friendly smile, a casual touch, these are the things that mean so much. To know you are with us in our time of sorro~, sharing our prayers, today and tomorrow, God gives us comfort in the form of good friends, may His peace be with you, His love never ends.
