Milledgeville, Georgia on December 18, 1948 to the late Mr. Henry (Big Daddy) and
Mrs. Anna Hill-Wright (Big Mamma) pioneers ofBaldwin County, Georgia.
Her family affectionately knew Julia as "Baby Doll". Some even called her "Doll Baby". Julia means, " Beautiful Young Butterfly". It was something about that beautiful smile that let you know that everything was going to be alright! Julia loved her family so much that she took on the role as a missionary and would travel near and far to serve as their caregiver in their time of need. She was very passionate about helping others.
Julia attended and graduated from J. F. Boddie High School in 1967. She developed the
art of making friends with her classmates and still today they are life-long friends.
Julia was a certified nursing assistant and traveled as a home health aide to help others. She served many years as a HST (Health Service Technician) and retired from The Central State Hospital, Milledgeville, Georgia. She decided to venture away from her hometown and to move to Atlanta, Georgia. She wanted to be close to her chi ldren, Wanda & Fitzgerald. She referred to them as her two precious seeds & productive citizens.
Julia enjoyed reading, cooking and loved feeding others, and she enjoyed watching sports on TV. Her favorite color was blue, she loved music and she enjoyed dancing. Some of her employers were: Oak Hill Homes in Atlanta, Georgia. Seasoned with Love, A Wing and A Prayer and Big Daddy's Restaurant, all ofRiverdale, Georgia. She also served as a customer service representative at Marshall ' s Department store in College Park, Georgia, where she was lovingly called, "Mama" by all of her coworkers.
In the Hidden Cove Community, where Julia resided, those whom loved and knew her lovingly referred her to as "Mama". Her next-door neighbors in Building E became her children and a part of her family. Mama Julia led several people from her community to The Love Center Church and they gave their lives to Jesus Christ.
Julia loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. Her daily prayer was: "Lord, please put a word in my mouth for someone who needs a word from you today." Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and Psalm 27: 1-2. Some of her favorite praise phrases were, "Glory Be To God & Hallelujah! " Julia regularly attended the Love Center Church and decided to make it her church home in August 2000. She served in the usher ministry as an usher until she was no longer able to stand . She recently joined the senior' s ministry and she enjoyed her first experience on the Christmas ro11ing party to Callaway Gardens, Helen Georgia. in December 2014.
